Software Updates for FT1380e Crimp Machine

For current software updates for the FT1380e Crimp Machine. Please follow the instructions below for downloading the files.

1. For your convenience, a blank USB drive was provided with the machine. Prior to using a USB drive to update the machine, remove all files from the USB drive.
2. Click the link below to download the zip file with the updates.
3. After downloading the file contents, unzip the file and copy the contents to an empty USB drive maintaining the exact file structure as shown below.
4. To install the updates on the machine, turn on the machine, wait for the program to boot up, and then insert the drive in the USB port on the right side of the machine.
5. A utility will automatically run and then prompt you to Backup, Restore, or Exit.
6. To install the new updates and retain your favorites, first back up the files and then back up your favorites.
7. Next, Restore all factory files (Factory Reset - Restore all original Eaton FT1380e files) and then restore your favorites,
8. Select Exit to close the utility.

Download Instructions for PLC Updates:

1. In the event a PLC update is required, a micro-SD memory card (SD or SDHC) with a capacity of 128 MB to 32 GB is required.
2. Click the link below to download the zip file with the updates.
3. After downloading the file contents, unzip the file and copy the contents to an empty micro-SD memory card (SD or SDHC) maintaining the exact file structure as shown below.
4. With the machine turned off, open the electrical box and locate the PLC.
5. Open the drawer on the left side of the PLC and insert the micro-SD card.
6. Close the SD card drawer.
7. Turn on the machine, updates will install automatically.
8. After updates complete, turn off the machine.
9. Remove the micro-SD card from the PLC and close the electrical box.
10. Proceed with the HMI update using the provided USB as described above.
